I love to knit.
I've learned it from my mother when I was a little girl. I had special knitting sticks with the head of snowwhite at the end, I think to make it more childish.
In my teen years I didnt knit that much, untill the end where I've knitted a one meter long hat. It was really nice, and told a history about my mothers yarn leftovers. When I find it again, I will take a picture and upload it. That hat really had personallity.
Then next project was a sweather that I still havent finished. It's been more than 6 years now and I've come to realize that knitting big things like sweaters are not really my style.
So mostly I've been knitting gloves, socks and hats. In the last couple of years it has got really fashionable to knit here in Denmark, and I've learn some of my friends to do it. And i find it really cozy to sit some girls together and knit and talk about everything and nothing, and get inspiration from each other.
Last year i found out that I would like to learn how to felt what I've been knitting. I've looked all over Copenhagen for recipes and yarn, but not exactly what i was looking for.
Luckily this summer I went to Norway and here I found just what I was looking for. And the result is what you can see on the pictures.
Knitting gives me a inner peace and a satisfaction to create something with my own hands. I can recomment everyone to try it.Made 12-11-05
